Virtual Cabinet GDPR Commitment Statement

Introduction

In case you haven't heard, the European Union has taken a monumental step in protecting the fundamental right to privacy for every EU resident with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into effect from 25th May 2018.

Simply put, EU residents will now have greater say over what, how, why, where, and when their personal data is used, processed, or disposed. This rule clarifies how the EU personal data laws apply even beyond the borders of the EU. Any organisation that works with EU residents' personal data in any manner, irrespective of location, has obligations to protect the data. The UK has stated that it will comply with GDPR, with Brexit having no affect.

At GetBusy, we take the trust placed in us to stringently secure and protect our customers data very seriously and welcome the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).  We believe that every business should be held accountable to the same high standards to which we hold ourselves and are quick to appreciate when there's a new measure of accountability that we can use to test and improve what we do.

Commitment

We are fully committed to GDPR and have published some important updates to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Our new Privacy Policy and Supplemental Terms are effective May 25, 2018. The changes reflect the increased transparency requirements of the GDPR.

As we always have been, Virtual Cabinet are committed to protecting your privacy. That’s something that will never change. These updates are just enhancements which clarify and provide additional information about:

  • Your privacy rights and how to exercise them;
  • How we collect, use, share and protect your personal data;
  • The legal bases we rely on to process your personal data; and
  • How we operate in our capacity as a data processor acting on your behalf.

We'll continue to actively monitor regulatory guidance and interpretations of key GDPR requirements to make sure we're well informed and doing the right things in the right way.

How we can help you with GDPR?
